EXAMINATION SPECIAL

Best Study Tips:

Efficient Use of Time.

Remember, there are 24 hours in a day. Set aside two to three hours each day for studying. This will leave you with five to six hours--  after we subtract time for our classes, meals and a good night’s sleep—to do those things that we like to do much more than studying.
Periodic review and beginning to study for your exams early will save you time in the long run and it will prevent cramming. That way you can be well rested and more motivated and less anxious on test day.

The power of Cooperation.

Education often looks like competition. We compete for interest in school, for grades when we are in school, and for jobs when we leave school. In such a climate it’s easy to overlook the power of cooperation that is developed through study support groups. Study support groups feed your energy.
In addition to drawing strength from the group when you’re down, you can give support to others yourself as they need it. A study support group is also a good place to build rewarding relationship with people. So remember your friends and classmate when you study.

Mixing studies with Social Activities.

The most successful students balance social activities with good study habits. A diversion from the study will alleviate stress and help prevent you from becoming fatigued. So make sure you take a break for an hour after studies to meet with friends, to play some cards, work out at the gym, or to gab with a new acquaintance. You’ll find your concentration sharpen when you do study, if you plan a social activity afterwards.
To develop a social healthy life, develop routine study habits. After supper, lug your books and homework in the library, find a comfortable and quiet niche, and study for two or three hours, taking intermittent 10 minute break every 45 minutes or so.

Setting a Comfortable Pace.

Are you frustrated at not performing at a level equal to your potential in your courses? This tip is to help you maximize your academic efforts. A good grade in a course has been almost never the result of luck. The key is to set yourself at a comfortable pace for studying.
What is your comfortable pace? Once you determine this, consistency is the secret. Setting aside time for focused study every day will probably result in a higher grade point average.
A study schedule will guarantee better grades and may actually reduce the study time you spend now. Be sure to incorporate some review time each study period. Your study schedule must be convenient and you must adhere to it. Increased study time with consistency will spell success. I have seen it work for students.

Unit Selection For VTU 4th Sem Electronics Students

Subjects
Units
1.       MATH-4
1,2,3,5,8
2.       CONTROL SYSTEM
1,2,3,5,8
3.       SIGNAL SYSTEM
1,2,3,7,8
4.       LIC
1,2,3,6,7
5.       HDL
1,2,3,5,6
6.       MICROCOTROLLER
1,2,3,5,6

NOTE: The above Unit selection is taken from some previous years students who, has scored well by reading these all units. So, if you have selected other units then don’t go through the above and just read your own selected units. If you want some more units then you can select 4th unit in Microcontroller as in June/july-2010, not even a single question has been asked from this unit so it may possible that, this time question may come from the unit. Remember that 4th unit is full of C Program but easy if you have interest in it. Also check out some previous years question paper for format of questions. And never scared about HDL, is you will study first 3 units from part-A whatever I have mentioned above will be enough to pass in this subject. Remember HDL is a scoring subject but read carefully. Otherwise don’t forget students also get back in this subject. But be positive about what I told you about the above units. For CS check out the problems in Ganesh Rao book, if you are preferring other books.
A SIMPLE TIPS TO DO WELL EVEN IF YOU HAVE LESS TIME TO STUDY:
Look , even a single day is enough to do well in VTU exam if you will concentrate. Here I am telling you some points-
1.       Take a first type of problem and start doing it by spending 30 minutes on a single problem and solve it well by the help of your book carefully, observe each step very keenly , and when its over take another problem on same type and now start doing it by yourself only, and don’t see the solution during the solving of problem, after you have solved check the answer or solution and see if you have done any mistake, if yes then correct it and go for another problem if no correction means you did it. Now take another type of problem and follow the similar steps. So by doing this your speed of solving problem will automatically get increased next time.
So by doing this if you have done only three units means these three unit will be definite for you, means you can solve the questions in examination and if you have solved 60 marks you will easily get 55 marks if not more mistake.
In other hands, if you are simply going through all the 5 and 6 units then sometime one couldn’t even score 35 marks in that particular subject.
I thought you’d be listen sometime from your friends that I have done 70 marks and got 60 or 65 or at worst condition 50. And from other one who has told you I have done 5 units or attempted 80-90 marks but I got back.
So, go through the above and score well in your examination. And I can tell you only three days before posting of this won’t help all the students as, many students has been started revise of all the subjects. So this is for whom has still confused about which unit will be better or scoring.

And at last city students wish you  - have a good luck and all the best.
